So what do you do when the temperatures are well below zero with a wind chill of -23 degrees and you miss work due to frozen pipes?
First, I count my blessings. I have heat, I have food, I have warm clothes and I have a jug of water to make coffee! Now that right there is a blessing!
After counting my blessings, I sit by the window with coffee mug in hand and talk with the birds. Busy day out there at the feeder. There are so many conversations going on at once that it is hard to keep track of who is saying what.
Of course, they all ignore me as there is food to eat and a spot of sunshine to try to get a bit of warmth from, so I stop my rambling and just watch their antics as they fly hither and yon. Not a bad way to spend a few minutes before checking the pipes again.
