Nature Walks, Coffee Sips, and Podcast Chats
There’s something about a quiet morning trail that just settles the soul. Maybe it’s the crunch of gravel underfoot, birdsong in the trees, or the way the light filters through the leaves like nature’s stained glass. For me, these moments are more than just part of my daily routine—they’re where inspiration lives.
If you’ve followed my writing or tuned into the Let Fear Bounce podcast, you’ve probably heard me mention my daily walks with my dog, Dexter. Yep, that’s me—the woman with a coffee mug in one hand and a leash in the other, walking through early morning mist and talking with the critters.
Those peaceful morning strolls are where ideas for stories unfold, podcast questions form, and where hope always seems to find its way back in.
Coffee, Canines, and Creativity
My creative process doesn’t begin at a desk; it begins outside. The fresh air helps me breathe a little deeper, and the act of walking allows my mind to wander freely. Whether I’m reflecting on a guest’s powerful story from Let Fear Bounce or thinking about the next chapter of a book, these walks help me reconnect with nature, myself, and with the stories waiting to be told.
And of course, there's always a cup of coffee nearby. There's something about sipping that warmth while watching the world wake up that just feels right. It offers a little boost of comfort while I prepare to share a nugget of hope or an honest truth with you all.
Join Me on the Journey
If you’ve been feeling a little scattered or disconnected lately, I invite you to take a virtual walk with me. Explore the Let Fear Bounce YouTube channel, where you’ll find calming nature videos paired with soft music (Soothing Sounds). Perfect for unwinding, praying, or just catching your breath.
You’ll also find weekly episodes of my podcast, Let Fear Bounce, where real people share real stories of courage, kindness, and bouncing back.
And if you’re in the mood for a feel-good read, take a look around http://www.kimlenglingauthor.com. You’ll find books filled with furry companions, heartfelt journeys, and gentle reminders that hope is always within reach, even on the toughest days.
Here’s to finding peace in the pause, strength in each step, and joy in the simple things. See you on the trail.
With hope and a coffee in hand,
Kim
🐾 Office Manager Update🐾

Keeping Lady Mum on Track (Again)
Hello humans! Dexter here—your favorite four-pawed, treat-demanding, wisdom-filled Office Manager. Let me give you the latest update on Lady Mum (a/k/a Kim). She's doing okay... but it’s a full-time job keeping her focused. I mean, someone’s gotta remind her when it’s walk o’clock (which is every hour or so), and when she needs to step away from the laptop and into the land of squirrel-chasing. I mean, nature walking.
This week’s achievements:
Successfully herded her outside for daily sanity strolls (you’re welcome).
Gave her the look until she put down her coffee and gave me a treat.
Barked at a branch the wind blew down so she wouldn’t forget to write her blog post. I inspired it, by the way. Again, you're welcome.
Ensured she stayed motivated by sleeping in weird positions directly in her path. I call it “creative direction.”
Reminders I gave Lady Mum:
“Take a break, Lady Mum! The squirrels aren't gonna watch themselves.”
“Write with heart, but feed the dog first.” That would be me of course.
“Remember to post your blog and tell people how awesome I am.” (and smart. I'm very smart.)
Basically, I’m still crushing this Office Manager job. It’s exhausting, but someone’s gotta keep the human on track. Now, I need to nap... but with one ear open. Just in case I hear the cheese package opening.
Until next time,
Dexter, the Office Manager(Senior Treat Supervisor and Walk Time Coordinator)
